Dr. Bruny Germain is the Unit Chief of Adult Inpatient Services at St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Services. Dr. Germain joined Hall-Brooke in 1979. Since then, he has served several times as St. Vincent's Behavioral Health's Interim Medical Director. Previously, Dr. Germain was Medical Director of the Westfield Unit at Northampton Massachusetts State Hospital. Dr. Germain received his Medical Degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalahara, Mexico and interned at St. John General Hospital (N.B., Canada). His residency training was at Yale University’s Mental Health Center and at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown.
Dr. Germain was recognized as the first Hall-Brooke “Employee of the Year,” and in the future, the award will be titled: “The Dr. Bruny Germain Award of Excellence,” as homage to Dr. Germain’s special importance at St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Services.
