Sheila Cooperman, MD
Dr. Cooperman is Associate Chief Medical Officer at St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Service and Vice Chair of Psychiatry for St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She previously was the Service Chief for the Eating Disorder and Adolescent Service at Silver Hill Hospital where she worked for 18 years. She also has extensive experience working with the dually diagnosed, substance abuse population, adolescent and adult psychiatric population and patients with eating disorders. She received her Medical Degree from the American University of the Caribbean, British West Indies, and completed her residency training at Norwich Hospital and Tufts University/New England Medical Center in Adult Psychiatry. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in adult and addiction psychiatry.
