Dr. Zheala Qayyum is a staff Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, currently working at St. Vincent's Behavioral Health child and adolescent inpatient unit. She completed her training in General Psychiatry at The University of Connecticut and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital, CT, where she also completed a fellowship in psychosomatic medicine, with a special focus on psycho-oncology and palliative medicine. She has experience in the treatment of adolescents in juvenile detention settings, as well as the care of medically and terminally ill children, adolescent and adults. She is certified in General Adult Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
