St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Services provides inpatient treatment for acute psychiatric conditions, medical detoxification for adults who are chemically dependent, as well as a specialized program for individuals with co-existing psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Treatment is under the clinical supervision of a board-certified psychiatrist. A patient's treatment plan revolves around a thorough evaluation of the individual's medical, psychiatric, social, and occupational needs with the family strongly encouraged to be involved in the therapy and discharge planning. Inpatient treatment for adults is offered at two acute care sites:
- 76-bed acute care inpatient facility called St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Behavioral Health Service, Westport Campus (formerly operated by Hall-Brooke)
- 16-bed acute care unit at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport
