St. Vincent's Medical Center offers inpatient Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) services for people with depression. ECT is an effective and rapidly acting treatment for patients experiencing psychiatric conditions including major depression, bipolar depression, treatment resistant depression and other psychiatric disorders.
The ECT Program is located at St. Vincent's Medical Center and is a unique specialty program offering expert consultations and treatment for patients. In-depth evaluations are conducted by staff psychiatrists with expertise in ECT including comprehensive assessments and recommendations regarding state-of-the-art clinical care.
