In a community lecture titled “Finding Balance Within: The Mind, Body & Spirit Connection” offered by Hall-Brooke Behavioral Health Services, 47 Long Lots Road on Wednesday Feb. 13th from 7 pm to 8 pm, the Rev. ReBecca A. Sala will acquaint attendees to the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness is being aware of the present moment and can be used to achieve balance within the body, mind and spirit.

“In today’s fast paced world many of us are out of balance and as a result more depleted than we need to be,” said Sala, who serves as coordinator of pastoral care for the 76-bed inpatient facility in Westport and its ambulatory locations in Norwalk and Bridgeport. In “Finding Balance Within: The Mind Body and Spirit Connection” I will explore how to reconnect with our subconscious mind to improve mental and emotional health through self-reflection, meditation and informal discussion.”

If you believe there is never enough time in the day, occasionally feel overwhelmed and have disrupted sleeping patterns “Finding Balance Within: The Mind, Body & Spirit Connection” is one lecture you want to pen into your agenda.

Lectures are held in the community room of the 47 long Lots Road facility located conveniently of I-95 or Westport’s Post Road. All lectures are offered free of charge with no associated obligation to the community. For more information contact Jeanne Hoff 203.341.4532
