Free Community Lecture: Acting Out, The Influence of Main Stream Media and Your Child

Emily Cashman, Psy.D., Program Coordinator at Hall-Brooke Behavioral Health Services’ Right Track program in Norwalk, will lead a free community lecture on May 14th titled “Acting Out: The Influence of Main Stream Media and Your Child.”  The 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. lecture will take place in the community room of Hall-Brooke Behavioral Health Services, 47 Long Lots Road Westport, CT. 

Dr. Cashman’s talk will focus on the influence of media and violence on your child or adolescent’s behavior and she will lead a discussion on how parents can talk to their children and teens about what they see on news and television programs, on-line safety, and the impact of media.

Dr. Cashman is a licensed in School and Child Clinical Psychology and graduated from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University.  She received her undergraduate degree from Fairfield University.  Prior to joining Hall-Brooke, Dr. Cashman served as the Assistant Director of the Extended Day Treatment Program at Mid-Fairfield Child Guidance Center.
