Trauma Surgery

At the Michael J. Daly Center for Emergency and Trauma Care, our surgeons treat physical injuries in an emergency setting.

St. Vincent’s is a Level 2 Trauma Center, certified by the American College of Surgeons, Committee on Trauma. In the case of severe trauma, the trauma surgeon leads the surgical team that may include specialists such as vascular surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and other surgeons as needed. The trauma surgeon leads the trauma team, which typically includes resident physicians.
