Robert Ambrose, Pharm.D., BCPS

Learning Experience: General Medicine I & II

Bobby received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut and completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at St. Vincent’s.   Bobby is committed to teaching and has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut since 2017.  In his free time, Bobby enjoys weightlifting, playing corn hole, and spending time with his cats.

Mark Baker, Pharm.D., BCPS

Learning Experience: Cardiology

Mark received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Western New England University. He completed his PGY1 pharmacy residency training at William W. Backus Hospital and is board certified in pharmacotherapy. His clinical areas of interest include cardiology and pain management. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and binge-watching TV shows.

Zachary Binkowski, Pharm.D., MA, BCPS

Learning Experience: Critical Care I & I

Zach received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Connecticut. His clinical areas of interest include critical care, infectious disease, and toxicology. Other intellectual passions include history and philosophy; his Master’s degree is in Healthcare Ethics. He is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Quinnipiac University School of Medicine and Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at the UCONN School of Pharmacy. In his free time, Zach enjoys cooking, kayaking, traveling, and playing with his niece and nephews.

Jasmine Chen

Jasmine Chen, Pharm.D., BCOP

Fairfield Oncology Pharmacy Manager

Learning Experience : Oncology

Jasmine received her PharmD from UConn School of Pharmacy. She subsequently completed a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Hartford Hospital and practiced as a staff pharmacist before transitioning into Oncology Pharmacy. She is currently the Oncology Pharmacy manager of the Fairfield Region. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and hiking with her pets.

Eugenia (Gina) Christakos, RPh

Outpatient Pharmacy Manager

Learning Experience: Community Pharmacy

Gina received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies from University of Connecticut.  She is currently the Residency Program Director for the PGY1 Community Pharmacy Program and the Outpatient Pharmacy Manager.  Her areas of interest include teaching, patient counseling and transitions of care.  In her free time, Gina enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and cooking.

Joseph Faulhaber, Pharm.D., BCPS

Pharmacy Manager / Residency Program Director

Learning Experience: SVMC Management

Joseph received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from MCPHS University School of Pharmacy – Boston. Joseph was also a member of the school’s inaugural Doctor of Pharmacy Honors Program. Upon graduation Joseph completed his PGY1 pharmacy residency training at St. Vincent's Medical Center. His clinical areas of interest include emergency medicine and reversal agents. Joseph loves spending his free time with his wife, son and dogs, watching the Packers and visiting B&B’s in the New England area.

Antonietta Fitzgerald, RPh

Learning Experience: Community Pharmacy Practice and Hope Dispensary

Ann received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies degree from the University of Connecticut. Her areas of interest include patient counseling and transitions of care. In her free time, Ann loves to cook, garden, play tennis, run on the beach, plan family vacations, and attend her kids’ sporting events.

Rosanna Li

Rosanna Li, Pharm.D., BCIDP

Learning Experience: Infectious Disease / Antimicrobial Stewardship

Rosanna received her PharmD from UConn School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Hartford Hospital and PGY-2 pharmacy residency in infectious diseases at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is currently a HHC system infectious disease clinical pharmacist with interests in public health and investigational drugs and is an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the UConn School of Pharmacy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and watching documentaries.

Matthew Markelon, RPh, BCPP

Learning Experience: Psychiatry

Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies degree from the University of Connecticut. His clinical area of interest is psychiatry. In his free time, play fantasy football, and watch sporting events, including his UConn Huskies.

Nicole received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Rhode Island. She manages clinical operations issues. In her free time, Nicole loves hiking and cooking (especially with her instant pot!).

Hannah received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She finished her PGY1 pharmacy residency at SVMC. Hannah’s clinical interests include psychiatric pharmacy and general medicine. In her free time, Hannah enjoys going to concerts, traveling, and taking care of her plants.

Krystal Scinto, Pharm.D., BCPS

Krystal received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry-Biochemistry at Sacred Heart University and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Krystal is part of the Oncology team as a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist and serves as a co-preceptor of the Oncology rotation with Jasmine Chen. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, fantasy books/movies/shows and spending time with family and friends.

Colleen Teevan, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP, FCCM

Learning Experience: SSO Clinical Management

Dr. Colleen Teevan earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut in 2010. She went on to complete her PGY1 Residency at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Indiana and a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Midwestern University in Chicago.

Dr. Teevan is currently the Pharmacy Clinical Program Manager for Hartford Healthcare. Prior to taking on this role, she was an ICU pharmacist within Hartford Healthcare and started the PGY1 residency program at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.

Dr. Teevan also serves on the Board of the CT Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and is actively involved in the Society of Critical Care Medicine and ASHP.

Amanda Volpe, Pharm.D., BCPS

Learning Experience: SSO Management (Medication Safety Component)

Dr. Amanda Volpe received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies degree from St. John’s University in 1996 and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Medical University of South Carolina in 1999. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in the Bronx, New York in 2000 and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Volpe has served in various clinical and leadership roles throughout her career, and founded the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center where she served as Program Director until 2021. Her current practice is System Medication Safety Officer for Hartford HealthCare.
