Professional Interest: Critical Care and Cardiology

What attracted you to SVMC? Working as a pharmacy intern throughout Hartford Healthcare, I always knew I wanted to stay within the system as a resident as I enjoyed working with the various pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. After doing APPE rotations at St. Vincent's Medical Center, I realized I wanted to pursue a pharmacy residency here due to my memorable experience as a student. During my time here, I saw the mutual care and respect for all members on the inter-professional team including pharmacists. I felt important and appreciated throughout my time here and I knew I wanted to build upon my education as a clinical pharmacist in a setting where my recommendations and knowledge are valued. The variety of rotations this program offers was a point of interest when looking for my residency. With my interests being critical care and cardiology, I have the option to complete a second rotation in these fields. This program also offers ambulatory care rotations, which ultimately helps me to become a well-rounded pharmacist.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I love to go on long walks, try out new restaurants and cuddle my cat.
